How Colds Spread?
As the name suggests, the common cold is the most usual form of sickness seen across the world. It can be caused by more than 200 viruses, making vaccines more or less useless. This means the common cold has no sound cure; only ways to prevent them. Knowing how the common cold spreads is the best way to understand how to stay away from them.
The typical way a cold virus is spread is through direct contact. Say for example, a contaminated person sneezes or coughs in to their hand and then touches an object. The germs are able to live for hours on that object, which gives them plenty of time to be transferred to someone else. Cold virus hotspots could be everyday objects, such as pens, keyboards, TV remotes, etc. As foolish as it may sound, but the other way a cold can spread is if a person breathes the same air as the infected person! Sneezing and coughing releases tiny drops of infected mucus that could be inhaled, or even swallowed. This will most definitely cause that person to fall sick and suffer the common cold. It is always better to prevent a disease, rather than curing it. And now that you know where you could find the virus, you can keep your distance and stay healthy.
